He replaced Chairman Michelle Prinzing, who resigned in December 2014 when her family moved to Florida.

Andrea Preston of Fort Branch was elected Vice-Chairman during the same meeting. She replaced Vice-Chairman Brad Schmitt, who resigned from the position during Tuesday’s meeting so he could seek the elected office of Princeton Mayor.

Montgomery and Preston join the party’s other Central Committee members: Treasurer Mary Key of Princeton and Secretary James Amick of Owensville.
